Little Rocks Youth Curling

Our Little Rocks Youth program provides both an introduction to curling skills and a chance for young people to compete with curlers from other clubs.

The club supplies brushes and sliders and, of course, the curling rocks. These rocks are much lighter than regular curling rocks and are used to let younger kids have a much better feel for the game. As they become stronger and more proficient with age, they will move up to the regular weight and size curling stones.

Instruction is provided by Member volunteers. All a young curler needs is a clean pair of running shoes and to dress warmly. Little Rock curlers are also strongly advised to wear a helmet.

The program is held Mondays at 4:30 pm and runs from mid-October to early April. The cost is $85 (HST included)

Little Rock curlers – ages 8 – 12

Bantam Curlers – ages 13 – 15

Junior Curlers – ages 16 – 19

The Smiths Falls youth curling program follows the Ontario Curling Association skill development program. Each level has specific skills that the curler must master before proceeding to the next level of difficulty. Instructors Dianne, Paul, Agnes & MJ were pleased to award 20 red level badges and 4 blue level badges at our season closing. The curlers are excited to start an new season with new challenges!
